Dog Mood

SuperStock_1614R-11494Dog brings great joy and comfort to people because they can easily pick up our moods. Dogs, in common with its ancester wolf, are sensitive to the atmosphere. That is why dog often come close to us when we feel sad or jump around enthusiastically when we are happy.

Dogs have an inbuilt sense of time so they know to draw attention when a regular feeding times draws near.

Dogs are also familiar with a place even it haven’t visit the place for a few months. A dog that had been sleeping quiently in the car will get up and shows excitement even if you are even a distance from the once familiar location.

When you bring your new dog into your home, do not crowd her as this will make her feel scared. Gently handle her and when seems to feel comfortable and adapt to the place, bring in other family members and let them handle and talk to her.

The dog won’t understand what you are saying. But she will be comforted by the gentle tone of your voice. A harsh tone will stop her from playful jaunt. Friendly command will make her abide and baby talk can elate her.

Bonding with your dog involves touch. Your dog will look forward to you patting her and stroke on her. Whatever you do, do not harm her and your dog will become intimate with you.

Canine Greetings

caninegreetingsIn dog to dog and dog to human greetings, ranking plays a vital role. You should allow your dog to mix with other dogs so that your dog can learn about the dog greetings.

When dogs meets with each other for the first time, they will touch noses to see if they like each other. They will then proceed to sniff the areas around the anal. Dogs wag their tails if they like each other. Dogs display an enemy like behavior, for example bragging, showing off, showing teeth and growling if they do not like each other. These behavioral display will cause intimidation and anxiety to the opponent.

When this is over, the dog that had exaggerated the most is the winner. This often brought up the question whether who is stronger and so the dogs will resolute to fighting if there is any doubt.

Dogs fight start with the dogs facing each others with stiff tails, and growling. If the hair of the dogs are raised, a dog fight will happen. Growling and snarling are used to make the rival surrender. Usually the louder the noise, the less danger there is.

As soon as the dog realize that it is weaker, it gives a submissive gesture, the victor will back off. When you say good dog to your dog, you are praising your dog and it will send your dog away in ecstasy.
