• When your dog lies on his back with his underside exposed, he is showing submission to you.

• In the wild, only the leader dog makes eye contact. Dogs learn that they can make eye contact with human. If your dog makes eye contact with you that combines with growling, he is telling you that he is feeling dominant.

When dogs meets with each other for the first time, they will touch noses to see if they like each other. They will then proceed to sniff the areas around the anal.
